Daniel Malva

Artista visual e pesquisador natural de Ribeirão Preto. Vive e trabalha em São Paulo desde 2001. Sua pesquisa abarca estudos sobre processos artísticos, linguísticos e tecnológicos: das artes visuais (tipográficos, pintura e desenho), dos linguísticos (estudos etimológicos, alfabetos, línguas naturais e artificiais), das mídias emergentes (processos generativos e inteligência artificial) e fotográficos (analógicos e digitais). É interesse do artista os temas que envolvem discussões sobre os diversos campos da ciência, em especial os que envolvem Arte e Ciência como possibilidade de abordagens híbridas. Estão presentes em sua produção, poéticas que se materializam em catalogação serial de objetos, criação de palavras, narrativas ficcionais, discussões sobre o corpo, tempo e a morte. Malva é mestre em artes (Instituto de Artes da UNESP em São Paulo/2019), Tecnólogo em Mecatrônica Industrial (SENAI/2015) e Bacharel em Fotografia (SENAC/2006). Desde 2016 faz parte dos grupos de pesquisas cAt e GIIP, ambos licenciados pelo CAPES. Nesses grupos de pesquisa vem desenvolvendo obras coletivas que englobam poéticas e experimentações em arte-ciência e publicações de artigos nas áreas de arte, ciência e tecnologia. Desde 2017 vem colaborando com o coletivo COM.6 (lê se: com ponto seis) com os pesquisadores Agda Carvalho, Clayton Policarpo, Edilson Ferri, Sergio Venancio e Miguel Alonso em um projeto interdisciplinar 'Ex-votos’ e a ‘Sala dos Milagres’.
O artista já expôs seus trabalhos, além do Brasil, na Inglaterra, Noruega, Portugal, Cuba, Áustria e Suíça. Esteve nas galerias Mezanino (São Paulo) e Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery (Londres e Berlim). Seu trabalho faz parte do acervo do Museu da Cidade de São Paulo e foi incluído na importante coletiva Geração 00, curada por Eder Chiodetto em 2011. Além de ter obras em coleções particulares Brasileiras e Européias.

Daniel Malva is a visual artist and researcher from Ribeirão Preto. He lives and works in São Paulo since 2001. His research includes studies on artistic processes, linguistic and technological: visual arts (typographical, painting and drawing), (etymological studies, alphabets, natural and artificial languages), media emerging (generative processes and artificial intelligence) and photographic (analog and digital). The artist is interested in themes that involve discussions about the different fields of science, especially those involving Art and Science as a possibility of hybrid approaches. They are present in his production, poetics that materialize in serial cataloging of objects, creation of words, fictional narratives, discussions about the body, time and death. Malva has a master's in arts (UNESP Arts Institute in São Paulo / 2019), a technologist in Industrial Mechatronics (SENAI / 2015) and Bachelor of Photography (SENAC / 2006). Since 2016 he is part of the research groups cAt and GIIP, both licensed by CAPES. In these research groups have been developing collective works that encompass poetics and art-science experiments and publications of articles in the areas of art, science and technology. Since 2017 he has been collaborating with the collective COM.6 (reads: with point six) with researchers Agda Carvalho, Clayton Policarpo, Edilson Ferri, Sergio Venancio and Miguel Alonso in an interdisciplinary project 'Ex-Votes' and the 'Sala dos Milagres'.

The artist has already exhibited his works, in addition to Brazil, in England, Norway, Portugal, Cuba, Austria and Switzerland. He was in the galleries Mezanino (São Paulo) and Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery (London and Berlin). His work is part of the collection of the Museum of the City of São Paulo and was included in the important collective Geração 00, curated by Eder Chiodetto in 2011. In addition to have works in private Brazilian and European collections.
